Expanding NEC’s line-up of wireless mobile solutions, the new NEC VERSA E680 notebook combines wireless technology with unrivalled portability in a trendy two-tone chassis.

The notebook, powered by Intel’s Centrino-based Pentium M processor, boasts 802.11b wireless connectivity and an extended battery life of up to 4.5 hours (based on the 14-inch model).

For easy file exchange, the VERSA E680 comes with an integrated 4-in-1 card reader that accepts Memory Stick, Secure Digital card, SmartMedia and MultiMediaCard. This option makes the machine extremely versatile to users who own devices such as PDAs and digital cameras.

Coupled with four USB 2.0, one S-Video TV-Out and one FireWire ports, as well as a PCMCIA Type II card bus slot, the VERSA E680 allows you to connect multiple external peripherals at one go.

To top it off, this notebook offers 256MB of DDR SDRAM (expandable to 1,024MB) and an integrated combo drive (DVD/CD-RW), which further extends its storage capability.
